I'm Your fiber loving, work-from-home bestie.
Three years ago I had the longest lay off ever from what I believed to be a dream job. It was crazy hectic, but I loved having a hand in saving lives.
Truth: I had no balance to life and took zero care of myself. No bueno.
I knew things had to change. And, things were going change no matter what. [Thanks, layoff with 9 months notice!]
Short story: My mind was in overdrive and I needed it to slow down so I could make wise, thoughtful choices over reactive, emotional ones.
So, I picked up knitting.
Then weaving. Then macrame. Now? I can't be left near a craft shop!
obsessive or not, It's a passion. And therapy.
So... why not start a shop? it'll be easy, right?!
If you can make stuff, you can sell stuff. And if you can sell stuff, you can make enough money to work from home. Sounds like a solid plan, no?! I certainly thought so.
But it takes so much more.
I totally get it, dear friend. I thought it'd be easy. I didn't think about a plan, marketing, inventory, finances, or anything legal. I just made my art, took photos, wrote some words, and sent all the pretty pieces out into the wonderful world of interwebs hoping for a sale.
I failed and I failed hard.
Good news: you don't have to. I'm here to share my failures and lessons learned so you can make mountains [of money] move the first time in whatever it is you love to do.
